The pace slows, the summer crowds disappear and the island starts to return to itself. There is still golden sunshine, the Mediterranean is inviting and long lunches can stretch well into the afternoon.<blockquote>But something has changed. The island feels quieter. Why Choose Hola Ibiza Living for your next stay in Ibiza?

When you think of Ibiza, most people imagine stunning beaches, vibrant nightlife and endless summer vibes. But this magical island has so much more to offer. A deep and fascinating history, a thriving cultural scene and a collection of authentic holiday homes with soul and style.Ibiza’s Rich Cultural Heritage Ibiza’s story goes back over 2,500 years, beginning with the Phoenicians, who founded the island in 654 BCE as Ibossim. Its strategic location in the Mediterranean made Ibiza an important trading hub, exporting salt, olive oil, dyed textiles and much more. The Necropolis of Puig des Molins, one of Europe’s largest ancient burial sites, and the Es Culleram cave once a sanctuary to the goddess Tanit, offer remarkable insights into the island’s early past.Over the centuries, Ibiza was shaped by Romans, Byzantines, Muslims and later the Christian Crown of Aragon. Each left its mark, from sophisticated irrigation systems and fortified villages under Muslim rule to the stunning Renaissance walls of Dalt Vila, Ibiza’s old town now a UNESCO World Heritage site. The 20th century brought a wave of artists, architects and creatives who found inspiration in Ibiza’s light and landscape. German modernist Erwin Broner’s work and the founding of the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Ibiza (MACE) in 1964 put the island on the map as a cultural hotspot that continues to thrive today with art fairs like CAN (Contemporary Art Now) and festivals like Bloop.<figure id="figure-ubunldtgnmbdh7my5" class=""><img id="ubunldtgnmbdh7my5" src="https://cdn.durable.co/blocks/14feODZsPwsSEru4iWNB3ZgPJiKpK1VpMFXcv053h7KQPxIsqhYqBdK3NIxH4Un6.jpg" alt="Family-friendly villa in Ibiza, private pool, safe garden, sea view, bohemian style, children playing in the sun, relaxed holiday vibes, modern comfort, peaceful surroundings, barefoot fun at the beach, outdoor breakfast, nature adventures, joyful memories for kids and parents" title="Family-friendly villa in Ibiza, private pool, safe garden, sea view, bohemian style, children playing in the sun, relaxed holiday vibes, modern comfort, peaceful surroundings, barefoot fun at the beach, outdoor breakfast, nature adventures, joyful memories for kids and parents" class="object-cover bg-gray-100 " style="aspect-ratio: 16/9; object-position: undefined undefined;" data-corners="default" data-aspect="16:9" data-caption="" data-positionx="undefined" data-positiony="undefined" data-fullwidth="false" data-mce-src="https://cdn.durable.co/blocks/14feODZsPwsSEru4iWNB3ZgPJiKpK1VpMFXcv053h7KQPxIsqhYqBdK3NIxH4Un6.jpg" data-mce-style="aspect-ratio: 16/9; object-position: undefined undefined;"></figure>Ibiza architecture&nbsp; Back in the 1930s, Josep Lluís Sert, a Barcelona-born architect and heavyweight in Spanish modernism, fell in love with Ibiza’s “untainted architecture.” Though exiled during the Spanish Civil War, Sert returned in the 1960s and designed houses that respected the island’s rural soul, like the famous Can Pep Simó development. These whitewashed, cuboid homes with soft curves capture his belief that modern architecture should feel both rational and welcoming, a contemporary echo of traditional fincas.Around the same time, architect Rolph Blakstad arrived with his family, drawn by Ibiza’s unique harmony between nature and building. He described the old town as “white, pyramidal, and organic,” almost as if the houses grew from the earth itself. The Blakstads embraced local building traditions, blending centuries-old techniques with thoughtful design, a legacy their family continues today.Authentic Fincas with Soul &amp; Style Ibiza isn’t just about history and art, it’s also about living the island’s unique lifestyle. As you walk through the cobbled streets of this UNESCO World Heritage Site, the glow of candlelight and the solemn sound of saetas create a deeply emotional atmosphere. Similar processions take place in Sant Antoni and Santa Eulària, where local brotherhoods carry historic religious images through the streets, offering a glimpse into Ibiza’s spiritual heart. On Easter Sunday, a visit to the church of Sant Miquel is highly recommended, where the Mass of Glory is followed by a tasting of cuinat, a delicious traditional Easter dessert.Beyond its religious significance, Easter is a turning point for Ibiza. It’s the moment the island comes back to life. Beach clubs dust off their daybeds, restaurants put the final touches on their new menus, and the streets fill with the sounds of renovations and preparations for the season ahead. The scent of fresh paint lingers in the air in Ibiza Town, while the first waves of visitors arrive, ready to soak up the sun and enjoy the island’s relaxed spring vibe.<figure id="figure-elpc81r7xdm7lvajab"><img id="elpc81r7xdm7lvajab" src="https://cdn.durable.co/blocks/162tdVW3AAnXJ0atzz3JRP4GjwQ54yseEismYD9e7g5HtLNKKKcJS20iDTYpDtaf.png" alt="ibiza vakantie, ibiza holiday, ibiza met kinderen, ibiza with kids, villa huren ibiza, ibiza villa rental, kindvriendelijke vakantie ibiza, family-friendly ibiza, vakantiehuis met zwembad ibiza, villa with private pool ibiza, luxe villa ibiza, luxury villa ibiza, zomervakantie ibiza, ibiza summer holiday, ibiza last minute, ibiza gezinsvakantie, ibiza family holiday, holiday home ibiza, finca huren ibiza, authentic finca ibiza, best family beaches ibiza, ibiza activities with kids, ibiza tips voor gezinnen formentera vakantie, formentera holiday, formentera met kinderen, formentera with kids, formentera villa huren, formentera villa rental, vakantiehuis formentera, formentera vacation home, kindvriendelijk strand formentera, child-friendly beach formentera, ses illetes beach, beste strand europa 2025, best beach europe 2025, luxe villa formentera, formentera luxury villa, snorkeling with kids formentera, rustig strand formentera, formentera family holiday, beach house formentera, formentera tips voor gezinnen" title="ibiza vakantie, ibiza holiday, ibiza met kinderen, ibiza with kids, villa huren ibiza, ibiza villa rental, kindvriendelijke vakantie ibiza, family-friendly ibiza, vakantiehuis met zwembad ibiza, villa with private pool ibiza, luxe villa ibiza, luxury villa ibiza, zomervakantie ibiza, ibiza summer holiday, ibiza last minute, ibiza gezinsvakantie, ibiza family holiday, holiday home ibiza, finca huren ibiza, authentic finca ibiza, best family beaches ibiza, ibiza activities with kids, ibiza tips voor gezinnen formentera vakantie, formentera holiday, formentera met kinderen, formentera with kids, formentera villa huren, formentera villa rental, vakantiehuis formentera, formentera vacation home, kindvriendelijk strand formentera, child-friendly beach formentera, ses illetes beach, beste strand europa 2025, best beach europe 2025, luxe villa formentera, formentera luxury villa, snorkeling with kids formentera, rustig strand formentera, formentera family holiday, beach house formentera, formentera tips voor gezinnen" class="object-cover bg-gray-100 " style="aspect-ratio: 16/9; object-position: 50% 70%;" data-corners="default" data-aspect="16:9" data-caption="" data-positionx="50%" data-positiony="70%" data-fullwidth="false" data-mce-src="https://cdn.durable.co/blocks/162tdVW3AAnXJ0atzz3JRP4GjwQ54yseEismYD9e7g5HtLNKKKcJS20iDTYpDtaf.png" data-mce-style="aspect-ratio: 16/9; object-position: 50% 70%;"></figure>For those seeking the perfect place to stay during Easter, Hola Ibiza Living offers a collection of stunning holiday homes, from authentic family-friendly villas to design retreats.
